Kirk Monroe is an accomplished finance executive with deep experience in healthcare, technology, and behavioral health. He began his career at Grant Thornton before becoming Chief Financial Officer of Newport Healthcare, where he helped lead the company’s successful exit to The Carlyle Group in 2017.
Following that achievement, Kirk co-founded Lightning Step Technologies, serving as CEO and developing one of the leading EMR platforms in the behavioral health space. The company was acquired by Gallant Capital Partners in 2022.
In 2019, Kirk acquired Ava Billing & Consulting, a behavioral health revenue cycle management firm, and as CEO drove a nearly 20-fold increase in enterprise value before its sale to Medusind in 2023.
Kirk brings a unique combination of financial acumen, operational leadership, and deep industry expertise in behavioral health, insurance billing, and accounting to his role as CFO of NOLA Detox, supporting the organization’s continued growth and success.
