Drug Rehab Centers in Baton Rouge
Finding the right care shouldn’t be confusing. At NOLA Detox, we offer drug rehab centers Baton Rouge residents can find accessible. While some people see our facility and assume we are too far away, we actually offer two distinct inpatient locations to serve you better, both of which proudly accept Medicaid.
If you are looking for a premium, highly structured environment, our newest 30-bed luxury facility in Slidell delivers an upscale, commercial, and policy-driven approach to recovery.
No matter which location you choose, your full continuum of care is secured. We guide you through a complete, year-long journey from medical detox and residential inpatient stay down through PHP, IOP, outpatient care, and dedicated aftercare–even teaching you about having sober fun in New Orleans.
Our Clinical Excellence
When you come to either of our drug rehab centers Baton Rouge residents will benefit from our high standards of medical expertise. Our facility doesn’t connect clients with nurse practitioners for their medical care. Instead, every single client is seen directly by a qualified psychiatrist, backed by the best client-to-staff ratio in the industry.
As an official trained facility for Tulane Medicine and a trusted Community Care Provider for the VA, our clinical credentials speak for themselves. At NOLA Detox, we provide the rigorous, top-tier medical oversight you deserve, ensuring your safety and mental wellness at every single stage of your year-long treatment plan.
Truly for New Orleans
Born and raised in New Orleans, our owners come from well-known local families who wanted to build a program that is “Truly for New Orleans.” Those clients in Baton Rouge who want an accessible rehab facility will love our culture. We work hard to ensure recovery doesn’t mean losing the soul, music, and food of the community you love.
With our residential care, for example, clients enjoy fully catered New Orleans meals, local food trucks, crawfish boils, and vibrant sober celebrations. Best of all, your healing directly pours back into the community, as we actively support local charities to keep our city strong.

Our Care
Our Levels of Care
With NOLA Detox, our drug rehab centers Baton Rouge based provide several levels of care, making it possible for clients in need to start with their detox and step down through to outpatient programs.
Inpatient Detox Program
Our Inpatient Detox Program provides 24/7 medical supervision. This is where many of our clients start, removing any residual toxins from their bodies safely and comfortably. This is an intense time, with a lot of discomfort and challenge, but our aim is to make clients as comfortable as possible with access to round-the-clock nursing care, medication management to ease withdrawal symptoms, and a highly supportive, secure environment.
Average Timeline
This level of care typically lasts 3 to 7 days, depending on specific physical needs.
Best For
It is best for individuals experiencing acute withdrawal symptoms who require immediate medical stabilization before moving forward in their recovery.
Inpatient Residential Program
Our highest level of care is our Inpatient Residential Program. This is where clients are fully immersed in a highly structured, supportive community. The focus is entirely on healing the mind and spirit. With this level of care, clients can expect daily individual therapy, group counseling, educational workshops, and a blend of local culture and nutritious meals.
Average Timeline
Clients typically stay in this program for 14 to 30 days.
Best For
It is best for individuals who have completed detox and need a safe, distraction-free environment to build coping skills away from the triggers of daily life.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers intensive, full-day clinical treatment. However, as an outpatient level of care, it still allows clients to start their transition back to a more independent lifestyle, returning home or to a sober living facility each night. With this level of care clients have a rigorous schedule of therapy, psychiatric support, and skill-building groups for several hours a day, five to six days a week.
Average Timeline
The typical stay ranges from 2 to 4 weeks.
Best For
PHP is best for individuals who are medically stable but still require robust, structured clinical support during the day while transitioning from residential care.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides flexible, high-quality care that accommodates other personal, professional, or academic commitments. During these programs, clients attend group and individual therapy sessions for about 3 hours a day, 3 to 4 days a week, either in the morning or evening.
Average Timeline
Clients generally participate in IOP for 6 to 12 weeks.
Best For
This level of care is best for individuals who have a supportive home environment and are ready to practice their sobriety skills in the real world while maintaining a strong clinical safety net.
Structured Sober Living
Structured Sober Living offers a safe, alcohol- and drug-free communal home environment. For many of our Baton Rouge clients, this bridges the gap between formal treatment and independent living.
When transitioning to a sober living home, clients should expect regular drug screenings, curfew guidelines, peer accountability, and ongoing support in finding employment or attending 12-step meetings.
Average Timeline
The length of stay varies widely but typically ranges from 3 to 6 months (or longer).
Best For
This program is best for individuals in early recovery who need a stable, substance-free living space and a built-in community to reinforce their new, healthy habits.
Extended Care and MAT Services
Our Extended Care and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Services combine FDA-approved medications with behavioral therapies to support long-term sobriety and prevent relapse. This is a service for those clients who are struggling with chronic cravings, typically substances like opioids or alcohol.
With this program, clients undergo regular medical evaluations, prescription management, and routine check-ins with our addiction specialists.
Average Timeline
Because recovery is a lifelong process, clients often utilize these services for several months to over a year.
Best For
This level of care is best for individuals managing chronic cravings or opioid and alcohol use disorders who benefit from long-term biological and clinical support.
