When NOLA Detox and Recovery Center officially opened its doors to patients, the center’s founder and chief executive officer, Dan Forman, said, “The public health crisis occurring across our city and state is detrimental to current and future generations. NOLA Detox is providing real, meaningful solutions to the people of New Orleans.” According to recent data from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Louisiana continues to be one of the states most impacted by substance abuse. Additionally, this same study shows that the overdose rates in New Orleans are four to six times higher than the rest of the state. The NOLA Detox and Recovery center hopes to combat the escalating addiction problem in our Louisianan communities.
